In ancient Chinese folk tale, people can see the rabbit on the moon every Mid-Autumn Festival. The rabbit makes the elixir of immortality and heals malaria. Therefore, in our fantasies, she is a goddess of luck and happiness. Till now, many places have the tradition of making clay rabbits and worship them with vegetable and fruit during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The legend of the rabbit is the main inspiration for this dining utensil. Clay from Miaoli, the town famous for its pottery in Taiwan, is specifically used, and its color well complements the series of work of “ chrysanthemum gold / autumn harvest / .moon / rabbit.”
